  • Nagano “Trip” Report

It feels kind of funny when you’re in this place, which you know is not your home, but feels all so much more like home than the one you call home.

As I stroll down the streets of Nagano, all the familiar places, and the familiar laid-back pace of life that I dearly love, it feels like a pity that this is not somewhere I belong. At least I was a part of it.

Here are some changes that I have noticed in Nagano.

    1. The McDonalds next to Matsuya supermarket near my old place has closed and is now a 100yen shop.

    2. Kappa sushi now uses tea powder instead of tea packs.

    3. The 7-eleven in TOiGO has closed too.

    4. A new 7-eleven has opened next to Shoraku-ten ramen shop, across from the above mentioned Matsuya.

    5. The apartments around the corner from my old place are all gone. It is just an empty place there at the moment.

The list will increase once I notice more…

By the way, the new N’EX trains are a pretty comfortable ride. Infinity times better than the old one.

Also, people around here still know me and say hi to me on the streets. And in most cases I still don`t know who they are.
